What: GWiCS is happy to be hosting Guelph's second Women in Development Panel! Female developers from Square, D2L, Roadmunk, Magnet Forensics and more are coming to campus to answer your questions about working in tech. This panel-style event is a great way to connect with mentors from industry, learn about developers' experiences and see where your degree can take you!

Hello Pooja and Anemmeabasi,
Western University in London, Ontario has developed a Data Analytics program that requires a strong foundation in Statistics, Probability, and Computer Science.
As the Recruitment Officer for the program it is my responsibility to ensure that students across Canada are aware of the program components and student outcomes in an effort to ensure that qualified students are aware of the program so that the industry demands for Technical Data Analysts are met.

The MDA program will be visiting Waterloo, Guelph, Hamilton, and Toronto from October 14 β October 18!

It is highly recommended that you meet with the recruitment officer prior to submitting an application in order to fully understand the program and the admission requirements.
APPLICATION TIMELINE + Application Documents
The MDA admissions process will follow the timelines listed below. Please note that international students must apply in the first or second round of admission to be eligible for admission.
A complete application will include the following:
1. Digital Copy of your transcripts
2. .pdf copy of the course outline or syllabus that fulfills the prerequisite requirement
3. Completion of the MDA Prerequisite Verification Form β a personalized link and instructions will be provided to prospective students within 24 business hours of the start of an application.
4. Digital copy of your ELP Score β This is mandatory for all applicants with a mother language that is not English.

Prerequisite Requirements
The MDA program requires a very strong foundation in your understanding of Statistics, Probability, and Computer Programming. In order to ensure that you are at a technical level required by the program you must have the following coursework (or equivalent coursework/hours studied) completed
