Hello GWiCS members,

Hopefully everyone is managing to stay warm! We are going to have our next meeting on Tuesday, February 12th, at 5:30pm in SSC 1504. We will be doing some club announcements and then we are going to let everyone use the room as a study space for the time we have it booked (until 7:30pm). We will be supplying hot chocolate and snacks! It could be a good opportunity to study with people who are in the same classes as you, or get some help from someone who has already taken them.

Also, below is an email forward from Google. It contains information about some upcoming Youtube Live Sessions, coding competitions, and job opportunities. Take a look!

Sincerely,

Kassidy Marsh

Hello!

It’s a busy month at Google with only 28 days to fit it all in.  We’re excited to share with you what we have in store for February and to kick it off, in honor of Black History Month, the annual Pay It Forward Challenge is accepting submissions until February 15th.

Pay It Forward Challenge is as a way to celebrate and recognize students who are positively impacting their local communities. We will be featuring a compilation of students across our official Google Student social platforms who have demonstrated a commitment to expanding access and opportunities for others.

How You Can Help

Please share this initiative with any students that you think are doing great work to create change in their community! Deadline for students to submit an entry is Friday, February 15th, 2019 at 11:59pm PST.
