Hello BCOMP Students, Winter 2025 Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) positions have been posted. If you are considering being a teaching assistant, please prepare a resume and head to https://www.uoguelph.ca/sessional_ta/teaching-assistant. Applications close on October 22nd, 2024. Below is a tentative listing of all of the UTA positions that we will likely be hiring for: * CIS*1050*DE (Web Design and Development) * CIS*1200*DE (Introduction to Computing) * CIS*1500 (Introduction to Programming) * CIS*2170 (User Interface Design) * CIS*2250 (Software Design II) * CIS*2500 (Intermediate Programming) * CIS*2750 (Software Systems Development and Integration) * CIS*2910 (Discrete Structures in Computing II) Things to Remember: * Check the qualifications of the position you are applying for. * Read the posting carefully, it may include instructions or request that you include certain things in your application. * Ensure you are applying to UTA Positions ONLY. You cannot be considered for GTA positions if you are an undergraduate, and your application will not be considered. * INCLUDE YOUR TRANSCRIPT IN YOUR APPLICATION. If a position requires a certain grade, it is up to you, as the applicant, to demonstrate that you meet that qualification. If you do not include your transcript, you may not be considered. A copy of your unofficial transcript can be obtained from WebAdvisor. * You MUST apply online – we cannot accept applications by email. How to Apply: If this will be your first time applying to be a teaching assistant, you will have to set up your profile information, which will auto-populate some of the fields in your application material. Scholarship - application due October 30, 2024 These awards have been generously provided by Adknown Inc., a leading web and app publisher with a passion for ad-tech, proudly based in downtown Guelph.
