Dear Members of Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics, and Physics,
I am writing to provide plans around the search for a dean for your new college if approved by Senate in June, followed by being launched by the university on July 1, 2025.

Dean starts their term
Monday, September 1, 2025
While the timing appears tight, I feel this allows for the right balance of respecting Senate by not starting a process until Senate has voted (assuming positive), while also allowing the new college to begin advancing priorities during the fall term when significant advanced planning occurs.
I will therefore be seeking an interim Dean for the short period of time between Senate approval in June and announcing a new Dean in August.
