Hi Everyone,
Hope your semester is off to a great start!
Just a quick note to say that winter course registration is open.
If you have not registered in winter courses yet please do so very soon. Most CIS courses still have space but that free space may be taken away before January. Classrooms are close to being used 100% of the available times and courses that are not full may be moved to smaller classrooms. (Same for other subjects.)
CIS waitlists: if a CIS course is full or you can’t create a conflict free schedule then add to the waitlist. We don’t recommend waitlisting in core/required CIS courses unless you have to, to make a conflict free schedule. For example, CIS*2750 section 02 has lots of conflict free space (at a not ideal time, granted, but again, classrooms are at 100% use). It is not being considered for more space, if anything some labs will be removed.
The CIS courses that are full are being considered for more space but that may not be possible.
Sincerely,

Hi Everyone,
The slides from this morning’s academic program meeting are attached.
(Some of you may not be new students on the 2025 Calendar. The email is sent to all Computing students in first year CIS courses.)
Sincerely,
Sarah and Greg
