Hey GWiCS - Happy Reading Week! ❄️💖 Some GWiCS Updates: * Merch reminder: you have until Sunday to submit merch designs. We've seen some beautiful ideas so far! Voting will open next week 👕🤠 * Save the date for our GWiCS International Women's Day Celebration! We'll be hosting an online afternoon-tea-themed event on Sunday March 7th from 2 - 3pm. There will be prizes, roundtable discussions with employers and SoCS professors, and much more to look forward to! Are you a female/non-binary computing student looking to meet some new friends in SoCS? Hi everyone! A few GWiCS updates: * Last call for Go CODE Girl volunteers! The event is next Saturday Feb 13 from 1 - 4pm. We have an awesome group of GWiCS volunteers helping run this virtual event for young girls interested in computer science and technology. We're having a quick training session for volunteers tomorrow at 3pm. Please email us if you're interested and we'll invite you to the session! * Merch alert! This year GWiCS is offering merch, and we're looking for one of you to create the design. 🌟 Cooking with GWiCS Event + Call for Go CODE Girl Volunteers 🌟

Hi GWiCS! We hope you're enjoying a fun and relaxing break from school ☃❄️ We have two important updates today. In 2 weeks we're kicking off the Winter semester with a fun event - Cooking with GWiCS! Get ready to cook and enjoy an easy meal at home with the help of professional chef Emily Richards. This free virtual cooking workshop is Tuesday January 12th at 5:30pm. There will be a raffle at the event for a grocery store gift card of your choice plus a copy of Emily's latest cookbook, "5 Ingredient Cooking"! This event is open to all GWiCS members. Hi GWiCS, A reminder about our event this week - the GWiCS Resume Toast is on Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:45pm! Like a roast... but nicer. Our SoCS co-op advisors will "lightly toast" a selection of your anonymous resumes and give some tips about what employers look for in resumes. Be sure to stick around for the Q&A at the end, where all your "burning" questions about job applications will be answered! We attached the slides if you couldn't make it 👍 A few things: * Our first event is coming up - the "GWiCS Resume Toast" is Wednesday Oct 7th at 6:30pm! Like a roast... but nicer.
