Dear Members of the College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences, I am writing to inform you that we are proceeding with the search for the new Dean of the College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences (CCMPS). An important initial step in this process is the establishment of the Search Committee, which I will chair. The committee will be composed of the following members: * One representative from the Council of College Deans and University of Guelph-Humber committee (appointed by me) * Three tenured faculty members from the Departments of Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, or the School of Computer Science (elected by faculty members in these departments and school who are tenured, tenure-track, pre-tenured, or hold a contractually limited appointment of at least one year) * One regular full-time staff member from the Departments of Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, or the School of Computer Science (appointed by me, following a call for expressions of interest) * One undergraduate student from the Departments of Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, or the School of Computer Science (appointed by me, following a call for expressions of interest) * One graduate student from the Departments of Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, or the School of Computer Science (appointed by me, following a call for expressions of interest) * One Department Chair from outside CCMPS (appointed by me) * Ex-officio: Laurie Arnott, Assistant Vice-President (Faculty and Academic Staff Relations) Additional information regarding the formation of the committee will be shared shortly.
