Join The Guelph Coding Community, for a night of FREE food and fun! The event will be held in a private room at the Brass Taps and the food will be served buffet style. The room fits 20-25 attendees comfortably. The Brass Taps will be busier due to Sexy Bingo which follows at 8pm, so please feel free to bring headphones/ear plugs to assist with noise cancellation if you would like! The Experiential Learning Hub is launching a pilot summer work experience program for undergraduate students with disabilities. Participants will receive designated support (workshops, advising, job board) to secure and succeed in a summer opportunity that aligns with their career goals. This project is sponsored by the David C. Onley 2.0 Initiative<https://carleton.ca/accessibility-institute/projects/active-projects/dcoi-2…>, which aims to share and build the foundational knowledge of Ontario post-secondary institutions by introducing an online “Field Guide” to navigate the implementation of best practices and learnings of the DCOI Collective Impact Strategy. Description of the scholarship and submission instructions are provided below. Adknown Inc. Scholarship - application due September 30, 2023 These awards have been generously provided by Adknown Inc., a leading web and app publisher with a passion for ad-tech, proudly based in downtown Guelph. Apply to the School of Computer Science Awards Committee by September 30, 2023 with a letter of no more than 400 words, outlining achievements in the areas of leadership, innovation or volunteerism, either on or off campus, and include your C.V. Selection will be based on demonstrated achievements or accolades in one or more of the areas of leadership, innovation or impact of one or more areas of volunteerism, either on or off campus.
